Apartment Hotel Irida

We stayed here for 7 nights and honestly, it wasn’t long enough! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed and looked after. This family-run hotel is an absolute gem, and it exceeded all our expectations. The swimming pool was a brilliant size, always sparkling clean, and to our surprise, we often had it all to ourselves, even in the high season. The location is ideal, tucked in the heart of a charming little village, close to the beach, yet blissfully peaceful. The owners, friendly receptionist and staff were so welcoming and always took the time to mingle with the guests, which we loved. Every single staff member was kind and friendly, going out of their way to make sure we were happy. We arrived to find bottles of water and wine waiting in the fridge, and were greeted with fresh orange juice on both arrival and departure, a lovely touch. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed and pillows extremely comfortable, and the air conditioning and shower worked perfectly (which was a must in the summer heat!). There was also a safety deposit box available for peace of mind. In addition, the WiFi always worked really well. Breakfasts were a daily highlight with plenty of options, and the personal touches throughout the stay made it feel like home. When we rented a car, the owner even made sure we had a space to park safely alongside the hotel. There’s also a handy convenience shop right on-site, run by the same family, super useful for snacks and essentials. We explored the area and saw several other hotels nearby, and were really happy with the choice we made. We’re already planning to return next year, especially to see the next phase of renovations, which are already looking fantastic. If you’re after a quiet, relaxed and authentic getaway, with everything you need close by and the warmest of welcomes, this is the place. An absolute 10/10.

A four star hotel with aspirations to be a two star hotel. Owner and their friends smoking in the bar area made it almost unusable at certain times. Their kids running around making lot's of noise. Cold showers on 5 of the 14 days. A new hotel but with some parts either unfinished or in a dangerous state. Made bearable by receptionist and staff who were very helpful and friendly. Be cautious if booking this place.
