Aphrodite Hotel

Really a great hotel, great value for a good Price and definitely recommended. The bars are great, the staff is also great. We had fun at the pool bar every day and were treated great, especially thanks to Carolina who provided us with music, drinks and, above all, fun every day. The party clubs are all great too

We spent a week at this beachside hotel and overall had a very positive experience. The hotel is relatively close to the sea, although getting to the beach requires going down a flight of stairs, which might be a bit challenging for the elderly or families with small children. The area around the hotel is fairly quiet, but unfortunately there’s quite a bit of litter in the streets – though this is not the hotel’s fault. The room was a pleasant surprise: well-equipped and very comfortable. It was cleaned daily, with fresh towels and linen provided. The Wi-Fi worked well, and the balcony was spacious and comfortable – a great place to relax. In terms of cleanliness, the hotel was generally well-maintained, but the restaurant could have been better: plates and cutlery were often not properly washed, and I had to wipe them down myself on several occasions. The pool was clean and well-kept, but you need to reserve a sunbed early in the morning, otherwise they fill up quickly. We were very satisfied with the all-inclusive dining: the food was delicious, the variety was great, and the drinks were also of good quality. The staff were all very kind and helpful – a special shoutout to Emilia, who was always smiling and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The value for money was excellent – we truly felt it was worth the price. All in all, we had a wonderful week at this hotel, and we would gladly return. I can definitely recommend it to others.

Booked the hotel for a party trip with a group of people. The standards for hotels in Golden Sands are generally low, but we have had (much) better accomodations in previous visits. The room: Badly maintained (wires coming out of the wall, loose fittings, AC not working). Style old but ok. The food: You will find something to eat, but stick to the simple meat dishes, pizza and fresh veggies. Other than that, mostly bad, partly disgusting. The Hotel: Generally okay, but also old and poorly maintained. Pool water is rather gloomy and everything is a little dirty. I. e. they do not manage to clean the bar area with a broom every couple days, which is minimal effort and can be expected. Not a lot of space in the pool area. All Inclusive: Although you book AI, they try to limit everything. Pool bar only opens at 11am, the bar personel is trained to be inefficient and slow. Location: There are stairs closely that bring you to the beach. If you walk rather slow, its around 15min walk. Promoters: They allow promoters to access the hotel area, which is annoying. Other: They collect your passport and a 100€ deposit for the room. When you leave the hotel, you have to deposit the room key as well. Overall: No recommendation. Only bearable with alcohol.
