Absolutely lovely stay! I had a small issue with my room, but the General Manager responded immediately and offered a great solution. The atmosphere they’ve created here feels like something out of a movie — truly magical.

Myself and my partner absolutely love this place! We stay here quite often when we want a weekend away. The rooms are amazing and all the staff are so lovely and friendly. Maria one of the managers is amazing and always makes sure your stay is perfect. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a nice relaxing break away!

Overall, this was a very good stay apart from a few minor things hence why it doesn’t deserve the 5 star. A warm and cheerful welcoming by the receptionist who checked us in swiftly and offered me and my partner a glass of prosecco whilst we waited for our room key. She was very polite and attentive. The room itself was very nice (we stayed in the Love Shack) however it did smell slightly like wet dogs which was a bit off-putting. Moving onto the spa/bathroom, advertised on the Aphrodites Group website (and the images I have attached) there was a spa bed with a mat however upon arrival we didn’t have the mat so it kind of defeated the object of being able to relax in there. Also, there is a built in TV screen within the spa/bathroom but this wouldn’t turn on. I tried both the remote controls but neither worked. It also states on the website that there is a virtual surrounded sound system within the spa/bathroom but this didn’t work due to the TV not turning on in there. This shouldn’t be advertised on the website if it isn’t there or doesn’t work. I felt that in this scenario we were robbed a bit and didn’t get our money’s worth which was very disappointing as it was a surprise trip for my birthday. When leaving our stay I mentioned the issues to the lady with the brown curly hair at the reception but she really wasn’t bothered at all and didn’t even apologise. She just said “the room stopped doing the mats” and that “we should have called the contact number to sort the TV out” yet we only noticed the problem with the TV after the hours reception were closed as we were in the hot tub till 10:30pm. I just feel as if the communication when leaving could have been a lot better and for the staff member to be a bit more apologetic. Would definitely stay again just probably wouldn’t stay in the Love Shack again.
