Apolonia Resort

I had the best experience at Apolonia Resort. The rooms are large and spacious. The location is ideal. Customer service was extremely good. The manager Ivana went above and beyond with hospitality and human treatment. I have to stay an extra night because of a personal situation and Ivana was very understanding and helped me make the necessary arrangements with my stay and travel. The staff also showed great understanding when my U.S. credit card did not go through right away. Importantly for me, the small kitchen in the studio sufficed for my meal needs. I have a special eating plan and it was important to have a stove, fridge, pots and pans. Amazing stay altogether and I look forward to visiting again!

Please note: There’s a BIG difference between the HOTEL and the PRIVATELY OWNED apartments at this resort. This review reflects our experience staying at the HOTEL. For the second part of our trip, we stayed in a privately rented apartment, and it was amazing! The best part? We no longer had to deal with the hotel staff. WHAT WE LOVED: • The facilities around the resort are fantastic, with plenty of swimming pools to keep the whole family happy. • The location is beautiful: clear waters, not overcrowded, and a great selection of beach bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. • Everything is well maintained, and the cleaning team does a fantastic job in the rooms. • The Italian restaurant is definitely worth a visit, and the pizzas at the other restaurant were excellent too. • There’s a well stocked on site market that has everything you might need. • The massages were incredible! Highly recommend booking at least one session! WHAT WAS DISAPPOINTING: • The apartment provided by the HOTEL was in poor condition, despite being described as their best one. • Loose floorboards created a safety hazard, the room didn’t match the photos (a table was missing), and the air conditioning didn’t work in one of the bedrooms…a big issue during a heatwave. • Although we were told someone would come to fix it, no one showed up. Either the technician wasn’t informed, or they were too busy. • When I asked if I could speak to a manager, I was told “No.” When I said I might write a negative review, a staff member actually encouraged me to do so. Unfortunately, the staff might be the biggest downside of this otherwise great resort!
