Appart Hotel Amina Resort & Spa

I have to start by giving a special shout-out to the staff at this resort! We had the pleasure of meeting the very helpful and welcoming receptionist Isham. We learnt more about the food and different landscapes Morocco has to offer from him on our first night. His passion for Marrakesh, his home, was delightful and inspired us on our trip. A very warm and kind person and our introduction to the people of Morocco! Very convenient location (5 minute walk from shopping mall). The female receptionist was also helpful with directions for where to get medication close by. The apartment was nice and clean, you get what you pay for. The bathroom and kitchen area could do with a bit of renovation. We didn’t do much cooking but had all the necessary utensils. There was a heater/aircon, great for the cold nights and warm days. Disappointingly the pool was empty and seemed to be in renovation during our stay.

First of the all big shout out to the reception team and support staff. Very friendly and attentive. Very clean space and well looked after. Sadly the spa facilities and whirl pool were closed but nothing on any booking sites stated this beforehand which was a big disappointment. The hotel is very well situated however with a mall and supermarket down the road and a after a short walk you will reach the old town. The rooms are cosy and a nice place to relax after a long day in the sun. With a well stocked kitchen. If the spa facilities were working this would easily be 5 stars.

This hotel is not a resort! We were quite disappointed when arriving at the hotel, as the description differs a lot to reality. We hoped for a relaxing spa-Hotel outside the medina. But: there is no sauna or spa area, that is advertised on the description. The pool area looked discusting and there is no whirlpool. We asked for the sauna and only got the answer that we can book a hamam for the day after tomorrow. The apartments furniture was old and did by far not look as fancy as advertised. It was clean, except from the floor, and quiet. All in all the stay was ok, but definitely not what we expected and therefore completely overpriced for a „normal“ hotel.
