The hotel is very well located in the Garibaldi square, we walked to every destination in town and did not necessary need public transportation. From the airport to the hotel we took the metro, the station is in the square (you have to walk a few paces to reach the hotel ). The hotel seems a bit old but all in all it had everything you needed, it was clean annd comfy and we did not have any problem with running hot water or noise (some clients complained). We had a nice stay and we honestly recommend Adagio Garibaldi hotel !

Really not happy with our stay here - the price we paid was absolutely outrageous considering what we got. The rooms aren’t very clean and are really run down. On our first night, the shower ran out of hot water after 5 minutes, and rather than just apologising, the staff member at reception became incredibly rude and defensive. He blamed in on the previous client having late check-out, and then rudely told us that we should just take shorter showers. We’d paid over €120 for this room per night and were expected to take 1 minute showers according to the staff. The next day we tried doing a wash using the machine - the washer worked fine but the dryer didn’t work at all. They couldn’t even give us €2 back to be able to try and dry our clothes again - they first stated they needed to ‘speak to the manager first’ which obviously never happened, and when we raised the issue again, they point blank refused. The ceiling then started to fall down in our bathroom - my girlfriend reported this to the reception again and they said that they’d send a technician in the following day while we were out. Having read previous reviews that state that stuff has previously been stolen from this hotel, we were not comfortable with this, and she asked if they could come the next day after we’d checked out. He replied to her saying no and that ‘the technician comes when he wants’. Not 10 minutes later, I went downstairs, and told him that it wasn’t happening and that we were comfortable with the technician coming in - the staff member then said ‘of course Sir, no worries’ - are you kidding me. We were not sure how to react to this - it sounded remarkably like blatant sexism though. This is not something I’ve ever experienced at a hotel - absolutely shocking. Do not stay here. Terrible service and run down, old rooms for a ridiculous price.

If you like to take a shower occasionally, then this hotel is nothing for you. As a frequent traveler (1-2 trips per month), I was amazed how bad a hotel can be for more than 120 euro per night that is not in the center of the city. We had a room on the 6th floor in which the water pressure was very low, still, just enough to get wet to wash ourselves. Unfortunately, as soon as someone else in the floors below us flushed the toilet or took a shower, the water pressure was completely gone and literally no water came out of the showerhead or water tap. I had to wait to rinse the soap from my hair until everyone else was done showering, which in a full hotel is not before 11:00. We were able to get another room on the second floor in which the water pressure was good. But… the amount of warm water seemed to be rationed through the day. With two persons, especially when having long hair, the second person always had to shower with cold water. On top of that, the walls of the bathrooms in both rooms were full of mold. The bathroom door is constructed in such a way that no fresh air can get into the bathroom and as a consequence, the walls and towels do not dry. Voila, a Nice recipe for mold. Using the toilet is hardly possible if you’re taller than 150 cm. The toilets are too close to the opposite wall to normally sit on them, very uncomfortable. The entrance key code changed on Monday without us knowing. If you’re going to come back late on Monday evening, you better ask for the key code before the reception closes. The hotel advertises with a swimming pool, but that was closed throughout the 8 days we stayed there. No compensation was offered.
