Two things make Appin view Fabulous , the breathtaking view of castle stalker ( which is even more stunning by sunset) and mike the very affable host. Lovely comfortable spacious room , with that view, a nice balcony with some of the rooms, " honesty" bar/ fridge a great idea , but mike really makes the place" great craic", knowledgeable and well travelled and a great breakfast chef to boot.
Mike, the owner is amazing. Nothing was too much trouble! Our room was huge with the most amazing views over the bay. Breakfast was delicious, especially the Asian breakfast. This was definitely the highlight of our recent trip to Scotland.
10/10 experience at Appin Bay View Guest House! Mike is the best b&b host you could hope for. Such a kind, genuine guy that really does think of everything. Our room was absolutely spotless when we arrived. With lots of lovely touches such as bath robes & binoculars. The room was huge with a walk in wardrobe & massive en suite. Shower was brilliant, powerful & nice and hot. Every day our towels were changed & we were restocked with lots of teas, coffee, hot chocolate & biscuits! The breakfast was incredible every day. So much to choose from for a small guest house! All of the food was fresh & delicious and each mornings. Mike & his team honestly couldn’t do enough for us & the other guests. They even noted how much I loved the blackcurrant jam & put extra on our table the next morning. Not to mention the views of Castle Stalker from the balcony, stunning! Everything about Appin Bay View was perfect for us. A brilliant location for exploring places like Oban & Lismore. We had dinner at The Old Inn & The Creagan Inn and both were fantastic. There’s so much to do in the area if you like to explore, be additionally if you’re wanting an escape full of relaxation it’s the perfect place to do nothing. Thank you so, so much Mike for our wonderful stay at your lovely home. We will recommend you to everyone & we will 100% be back, we wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Appin. George & Dan x
