Terme - Aqua dome, a health spa complex and special water pools. A very special place with several different pools - warm water, sea water, sulfur water. All pools are heated. There is an indoor complex that includes 2 health and a large spa complex with sauna and massage. A summer card gives a 15% discount in July / August - in June, admission is free. Very expensive cost for 3 hours for a family of 2 + 2, about 120 euros. Everything is very high-level, clean, organized and maintained at a high level. The place is very pampering after a day of activity (trip). The slide complex is closed for renovations.
A Disappointing Decline We’ve stayed at the Aqua Dome in Längenfeld three times before and always considered it a highlight of our trips to the Ötztal region. Unfortunately, our fourth—and definitely final—visit was nothing short of a disappointment. What once felt like a premium spa retreat has now devolved into a chaotic, understaffed, and poorly managed mess. To begin with, we arrived more than three hours after the official check-in time, only to be told our room still wasn’t ready. After a lengthy wait in the lobby (which was weirdly unclean and unlike other times), we were informed that the room we had booked wasn’t even available. We were offered a confused explanation and a room at some point—just a different room we hadn’t selected. When we finally got to the substitute room, we were welcomed by 11 flies. Yes, 11. We had to hunt them down one by one, which is not how anyone wants to start a supposed luxury holiday. The cleanliness was far below standard, and the room itself looked tired, dated, and in desperate need of renovation. Clearly, upkeep has been neglected. The service throughout the resort echoed the same theme: confusion and carelessness. Staff seemed disorganized and unclear about their responsibilities. The dining experience was laughable—gone are the days of having your own designated table. Instead, each meal turned into a bizarre game of musical chairs. Every day, we had to ask around to find out where we were supposed to sit. For a spa that once prided itself on seamless hospitality, this was incredibly frustrating. As for the food—don’t expect to be positively surprised. The quality has taken a nosedive since our last visit. Bland, uninspired dishes now dominate the menu, and the once-excellent dinner service now feels like a high-volume cafeteria. It’s painfully clear that management has started cutting corners, prioritizing profit margins over guest satisfaction. The Aqua Dome used to be a dependable, relaxing experience. Now it feels like a fading brand trying to mask its decline. We’re returning to Ötztal in December, but we’ll absolutely be staying elsewhere. It’s a shame to see such a place with so much potential let itself go. Four visits were enough—never again. With profound sadness, Auf Nimmerwiedersehen Aqua Dome
Be very careful about booking with this place. I had to cancel my reservation because the wedding that I was attending was cancelled and they would not cancel my reservation or even consider charging me a fee or even half of the reservation. Things happen in life and they should be more understanding. They are in the service of hospitality after all. It was very disappointing that they didn't even care about my situation. I tried canceling with a months notice which is plenty time, it's not like I did it days before. Hi Gloria. I have tried giving you a call however you are on holiday. I cancelled with booking.com and had an agent working on the file. They sent a notice to the hotel which was ignored. I have called the hotel on plenty of occasions to speak to someone to help me so that is not true when you said you did not hear back from me. And no I would never visit this hotel. No one has offered me a credit that I can use at another time or any such thing or even returning half of the money. You literally took the $1700 with no sympathy or resolution. Yes things happen and it's how it's handled. Let's hope you or your staff are never in this position.
