We had an excellent holiday here. Our stay was planned as an extended weekend for wellness and spa relaxation - and that's what we got. Let's start from our arrival at Bad Salzschlirf train station. After we tried to call a taxi without success we called the hotel to ask for someone to pick us up. Due to lack of staff the director came to the train station and took us to the hotel. Ace. Check in was smooth and uncomplicated. Front office staff were friendly and helpful. Up next - the room. We had a room in the category "Komfort Gartenblick"/"Comfort Garden View". The room was clean and tidy, bed was comfortable. Room and bathroom were spacious. The balconies on this side have sunshine from noon on. The spa section is nice, too. We especially enjoyed the warm brine pool. Three saunas are available - 60°C, 80°C and 90°C. The sauna section has direct access to the garden (which is sight protected). The restaurant offered buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was really good, well cooked, a variety of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes for every meal. Ingredients were fresh. Of course, in a four star hotel one would expect al'a carte dishes at least for lunch and dinner but service staff are rare these days and offering buffet is an uncomplicated and creative solution to compensate this lack. Check out after 4 days of physical and mental detox was smooth again. We didn't try the taxi transfer at all because, again, the director offered us a ride to the train station. This hotel is a good example for how to run a hotel in times like these (Corona pandemic, inflation etc.) - the spirit and the positive vibe are making the difference. Keep it up, guys!
Probably the worst hotel I have experienced. Reason 1: they want to charge you even for a 15 mins of late checkout on request. Including the manager and the receptionist. Never seen that. Reason 2: breakfast is decent but nothing special Reason 3: if you come here hungry and the hotel restaurant is closed then you will just starve. Nothing to eat. Even in the bar you won't find a piece of bread Reason 4: the unfriendliness of the staff. No one's really helpful and want to be helpful. Never stepping here again nor will I recommend anyone.
The worst staff I have ever seen! I have been in several Hotels in Germany for work travel but this never happened. Asked at the reception for 2 rooms as we were 3 persons and gave us a higher price than on booking.com. I didn’t accept the price so told to the reception girl that ok we are sitting here and make reservation on booking.com when suddenly an Indian looking guy, very racist, comes and tells us he is the night manager and we have to leave because we have no rooms and we are already closed. He then started swearing at us in German language, no one of speaks German! Left the hotel although we were very tired, but couldn’t leave without a review. Very very unfriendly staff!!! Very disappointed from this hotel!!
