We spent a week at this hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and we booked it through a travel agency. It was great value for money. The room we stayed in had an ocean view, and it was always a pleasure to wake up to such a beautiful sight every morning. Although the room was a bit outdated or perhaps not yet renovated, it was still comfortable. Housekeeping tidied up the room every day. The bed could have been softer, though. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was decent, but nothing special—they served pretty much the same dishes every day with only slight variations in the menu. The location is amazing—just 50 meters from Elli Beach, about a 15-minute walk to the Old Town of Rhodes, and with good restaurants nearby. Overall, it was a satisfying experience for us, and we would definitely book again if we return to Rhodes.
We were two identical groups of friends who booked two rooms at this hotel through Booking.com on the same day and at the same price. However, upon arrival, we were assigned rooms on different floors (3rd and 5th) and what we received was nowhere near what was advertised online. The room I was given was in shockingly poor condition, completely different from the photos shown at the time of booking. It was unacceptable, disappointing, and honestly ruined the start of our holiday. I have photographic evidence to support this. We immediately asked to speak to someone in charge, but there was no manager or supervisor available. The front desk staff simply told us to wait, offering no real help or alternative solution. Eventually, two people who identified themselves as supervisors came and instead of helping us find a solution, they behaved very aggressively and disrespectfully. They even threatened to call the police on us, despite the fact that we were calm and had done nothing wrong. This kind of behavior was completely uncalled for and unacceptable. In the end, we decided to leave on our own and booked a different place to stay. Fortunately, after explaining the situation to Booking.com, they understood our case and issued a refund, which we truly appreciated. To be clear: the hotel’s behavior and the condition of the room were absolutely unworthy of the price paid or of a 4-star rating. We strongly recommend others to avoid this hotel unless significant improvements are made, both in hospitality and facilities.
Everything was bad, but the rudeness of the personnel is beyond me. There was an argument about the room, not being as it should (hair stuck in the bath, broken closets, and in general not what was advertised), and the personnel instead of suggesting solutions, they took it personally. I will speak for the reception manager himself, male around 45 years old, bald with little hair, mid to short height. He threatened me and my friends, disrespected our country, manipulated us to feel guilty about other issues not related to us (having to bring in personnel that had personal issues), and blaming us for everything. Long story short, avoid this hotel at any cost. That man needs to go to therapy, and his underpaid personnel need to react.
