Aragona Palace Hotel & Spa

This hotel is located right on the Porto Ischia. We had a wonderful view of the port from our room. When got off of the ferry we walked to the hotel, just 6 minute walk with our luggage. Easy. The hotel staff bent over backwards for us and extremely friendly. We asked for more pillows…done. Glasses and a corkscrew to open and drink wine we bought to drink on the balcony…done. The rooms were big and the bed was comfortable. The shower pressure was excellent. It was an quick walk to the bus station to take advantage of transportation to Gardenia Poseidon and Terme. They gave us discount passes for entry there. They recommended restaurants that were excellent. There is no question that we will return to this hotel when we return.

We had such an wonderful stay here that my partner, who does not really care for leaving feedback, agreed we must leave a positive review for the Aragona staff. Of course the location right by the port as you get off the ferry was a primary consideration when booking. Personally I did not have high hopes for the hotel as I expected it to be dated and basic but it had authentic old world charm and was simple and unfussy in the way that most of the best things in life are. The views from the multi terraced pool decks are some of the most beautiful over the harbour. The rooms were pristine and when we asked for extra towels it arrived within minutes. The crown jewel of Aragona is its staff who became like friends in our 4 days here. Jelena and Kiara (pardon I’m not sure of the spelling) were the persons we dealt with in particular. All beautiful and incredibly helpful assisting with things like the best restaurants, bank directions and how to send a parcel in Italy to catering to my requests for a vegan breakfast. Also Martina, the wonderful chef and the other you g bartender. I’m sad to leave in part of these wonderful Ischians. If there are any improvements I can suggest for future guests it would be to perhaps have a bit more fruit at the buffet and a vegan milk or vegan yoghurt for the granola. Otherwise if you like pastries, there is not a variety of pastry they do not have. Thank you, you were all fantastic!

We just spent 12 nights at this wonderful hotel and loved it! Location was great; our room was spacious, well appointed, and with a great view. Spotlessly clean - housekeeping was tremendous! We used both the indoor and outdoor thermal pools and I have a great massage and my husband loved his first pedicure! Breakfast has so many delicious choices! Highly recommended - we will be back!
