We had a wonderful but short stay at the property. We love the food and the room, especially the in-room hot spring tub. The room is new and well maintained. Location is right by the river and close to the Main Street and attraction. The dinner and breakfast are also highly enjoyable. This place is definitely the highlight of our trip to Kyoto. All the staff were gracious. Specially thanks to the Chinese speaking lady who made our stay extra wonderful. We will definitely come back.

I paid for the most expensive option available at their main website and it was honestly amazed. It was the best hotel experience I've ever had in my life. The plan that I paid for included a dinner course meal and breakfast. I think there were plans without meal plans as well. We had our own private bath and shower area and it was amazing. The bath is placed outside of the shower room and taking a hot bath outside with a nice breeze was so relaxing. The traditional Japanese dinner course meal was great as well. The presentation of the dishes were beautiful and the taste was amazing as well. If you've never had authentic Japanese food, you might not enjoy it as much but I would still recommend that you try it for the experience. There's also a breakfast meal and it comes with the Japanese and Western meal option. The Western meal option looked kind of lame to be honest compared to the amazing Japanese breakfast they provide for you. The interior of the ryokan and the room looked very traditional but very well maintained. The staff members were also very polite and helpful. Just be aware that some of the staff members speak little to no English so make sure to have a translation app handy. Overall, I was impressed by this ryokan experience and I really hope to visit this place again in the future.

We stayed for a night and it was absolutely incredible. As many others have said, the price seems a bit steep, however, this place is well worth it. The service was very nice and the 13 course dinner was absolutely beautiful in looks and taste. We had a nice view to a small, but pretty garden. The breakfast was great and the view to the water was pretty and relaxing. Not much to say other than we probably will return back some time again in the future!
