Arck Hotel

Understanding the location of the hotel. Room will be tiny. So tiny and horrible place that you cant even open curtain to look outside. All you see wires and other building wall in your face. Hotel staff was nice. But its quite an average one. They provide you with complimentary coffee coupons which you cant redeem cause it lasts for 2 hrs and that timing is mostly when you would be out. What a smart way to be humble but not let people get any service. Super commercial space snd cramped room. Its right in the middle of the market which is why two stars were added

The location of the hotel is wonderful, right in the middle of Pratunam morning market. A huge variety of food choices, big shopping market all around. Pretty near to the big malls, just a long walk with lots of shopping throughout. The elderly might feel tiring. The street into the hotel is always crowded and mostly one way, so it might take some time for your transport to reach the outside in daytime. But the walk to the hotel might be a little dark at night. Safe thing is there a many street vendors from day time till midnight. Their bright lights and food smell leads the way. The buffet breakfast is simple and good. Not extremely pricey yet it fills your tummy. The down side is I saw a baby cockroach on the drinks counter passing by. The service of the counter staffs are not very friendly, when we are checking out, they’ll need to double check if the room is on point, but the counter staff(male) did not inform us when they’re done with the checks, until I ask them if everything is good so we can leave. They’re chitchatting away laughing. The young lady at the counter when we did our check in is real friendly though, as well as the staffs who handle our luggage before check ins. Overall the room is old, very old. Old with weird smell which you’ll have to open the window to air everyday. You can also notice the fixtures are not maintained. Not sure if the toothpaste(maybe) stains on the bathroom wall are how many years old. Many screws are loose or no where to be found, all hanging by a thread. There are also tiny dust mites on the wallpapers. One of our rooms has instances where there are knocking on the door but nobody was outside. We wasn’t sure if its by the housekeepers or someone unknown.

The location of this hotel is great! Right above Pratunam shopping street. I have stayed here religiously for my past 3 annual trips but this time round, i truly felt that the standards are shot. The bedding smelt musty, wooden furnitures are chipping at every corner, room cleaning services got worse and the worst of all, the water pressure system in the shower head. Complete misery to shower in this hotel, with the water running either extremely cold to touch or hot and burning the skin. We had to resort to using big bottles to collect the water over a long period of time to get a comfortable temperature for showering. Definitely will be checking out other hotels for my next trip.
