Arena Hotel

My 5-night stay in May 2025 was absolutely incredible! The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, with reception always on hand to assist with anything from general queries to tour bookings. We were warmly welcomed with tea and water upon arrival, and even received a complimentary upgrade on one of our two rooms. The hotel's location is perfect, just a stone's throw from the Blue Mosque and various shops. I'll definitely be returning!

We booked the hotel in the morning of our arrival and we were lucky to find such a good hotel in such short notice. The guys from the reception were really nice, at breakfast at demand they made Turkish coffee for us. Also the room was cleaned every day. Very good area, close to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. 5 minute walk. The rooms are not very big, but clean and have a local design. Would recommend for a person on their first vacation in Istanbul, since it’s so close to the city center and good value for money.

I booked a room for myself and family through Expedia at Ayasofya Hotel special class but due to unforeseen health issues I've sadly had to cancel my whole holiday (my very first holiday may I add 😭) I've tried contacting the hotel so many times through Expedia and I've even rang them myself from the UK to try and speak to someone about cancelling and obtaining a refund but it's been impossible to get through. I really wanted to stay here at some point in future when my health improves and I do eventually visit Istanbul but at this point I'm put off because they don't seem to care about their guests and only respond to say thanks for the booking and are quite happy to keep your money whether you've stayed with them or not. I'm extremely disappointed and very stressed out trying to get in touch with them to get my money back for a trip I cannot take.
