Arenula Suites

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon and loved it. Aila reached out to us a few days before check in and was very responsive to any questions we had along the way. The building/room was beautiful, having an elevator was awesome and the room's AC worked great. Every major tourist attraction was within walking distance and being just over the bridge to Trastevere was amazing. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Very nice hotel in a central location- great places to eat nearby and walkable distance to the tourist attractions. You must bear in mind that someone only sits on the reception from 10-2 so limited time for check in. Clean room with a nice view of the street below. Can be quite noisy so bring earplugs.

I rarely leave reviews but my experience at Arenula Suites was so appalling that I feel compelled to warn others. This place is nothing like what is advertised online – it’s misleading, dirty, and extremely poorly managed. - Air Conditioning Scam: The air con does not work. I suspect they deliberately block or shut it off at night to save money. Our room became unbearably hot and after reading other reviews this does not seem like a one off. - Filthy Conditions: The room was disgusting. Dust, grime and stains everywhere. (See attached photos if you’re brave enough.) It looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in weeks. The masking tape (from its original decoration was still in situ). - No Reception or Help: There is no one at the desk. If you need anything – good luck. There is zero support and no one seems to care. It felt like we were staying in an abandoned building. - Extremely Noisy: If you’re looking for rest, forget it. The noise levels were unbearable – from traffic outside to other guests checking in (yes, directly outside my hotel door - again, see attached image). - False Advertising: The photos online are pure fiction. Nothing looked like the bright, clean images we saw when booking. - No WiFi: Despite claiming to offer free WiFi, it didn’t work at all. Not even a slow connection – just completely unusable. Incredibly frustrating. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. It’s not worth the money, the stress or the risk to your sanity. Arenula Suites should be removed from every booking platform – utter disgrace.
