Argonaut Hotel

Older beautiful boutique hotel with uh-may-zing staff!! This hotel is in the perfect location for exploring San Francisco's Wharf and tourist attractions. Bonus, it's a fantastic place to stay! All of the staff at the front entrance were kind, helpful, and friendly (without being plastic/fake about it). Jacob greeted us and instantly set the tone for a fantastic stay. He was welcoming, warm, and friendly. He provided great suggestions and made it clear he enjoyed working there. Our room was clean and well laid out. Not a huge room, but it didn't feel cramped at all. The beds in our room are softer and perfect for us since we are all side and back sleepers. If you prefer a firmer mattress, these may not make you as happy. Our only complaint was the glassware wasn't very clean, it was wiped with a not-so-clean towel. However, that was an easy fix in the sink. The restaurant is one of the best restaurants in the city. All places are very pricey in that area, but the food is so great, it felt like a genuine treat to eat there. We went around the corner to the restaurant known for Irish Coffee and we were so bummed that the food wasn't as good as it is at the Blue Mermaid for about the same price. Our advice, grab their coffee to go and get your meal here 😉 If we return to San Francisco again, we will definitely stay here again!

Our stay at the Argonaut was amazing. The location was so perfect and close to everything we needed. The hotel has so much character. Staff was excellent, room was spacious and very comfortable. We dined at the Blue Mermaid a few times and the food was fantastic. I will definitely be staying there again when I'm back in the area.

This hotel is beautiful and clean. The staff was very friendly and receptive. The location is right next to the wharf and it's tourist central. The only slight issue was on check in but it was handled beautiful by the staff which I appreciated greatly. Alot of times hotels will allow early check in by an hour or so. In this case we could not and I had a very tired baby from traveling. So that was a little hard but thank God I did not have us fly in earlier. The only two hotel things that I did not like were that they had no pool and the gym was just okay. Their food was amazing though and I loved the coffee pods/coffee in the room. In addition it was very quiet! We did have someone running around till 1am we could hear above us but besides that barely any noise.
