Arion Hotel Vienna Airport

This hotel looks like one building but it is 2 towers. And only one tower is serviced with a lift. So if you get rooms on the other side you will have to carry your suitcases up yourself. We had a large group and even though request was made to have all rooms on first floor or those services by a lift this didn’t happen. The guy Max/Benjamin was rude as hell and very unhelpful. Even though he had been told to help us he refused and was rude to our group. We did discuss with the hotel manageress the next day and outlined all our issues. She was very helpful and understanding.

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Not Recommended I regret to report that my experience at this hotel fell well below expectations and was highly unsatisfactory. The chair provided in the room was unstable and unsafe, as it wobbled significantly. The in-room telephone was non-functional. The mattresses were excessively soft and uncomfortable, causing me to wake up with back pain. There was no remote control for the air conditioning; instead, temperature adjustments were managed by the reception via computer, which was both inconvenient and impractical. I had specifically requested a room with a double bed but was given a room with two separate single mattresses placed together. The door lock was unreliable and did not always function properly. The staircase area had a noticeable infestation of flies, contributing to an unpleasant atmosphere. The parking area emitted a strong odor, likely due to overflowing garbage containers. Despite clear no-smoking signs at the main entrance, staff members were frequently seen smoking in this area. Because of the numerous issues in the room and the non-working telephone, I had to make repeated trips to the reception desk to seek assistance. As a frequent traveler, I can confidently state that this has been one of the most disappointing hotel stays I have experienced to date.

Given the price we likely paid as a large group, we had no grounds for complaint regarding the room. However, one side of the wing lacked lift access, which necessitated dragging our luggage up to the third floor without any assistance from the hotel staff. The young male staff member on the evening shift who wore glasses shouted as us to remain quiet in the lobby and return to our rooms, yet he did not direct his frustration towards the local guests who were also present. His demeanour was quite rude, and we perceived it as bordering on racism. It is essential that you provide training for your staff, as ultimately, we are the ones funding his salary.
