Beautiful hotel in a lovely, peaceful neighbourhood. My favourite part of the hotel was the rooftop restaurant has stunning views and serves a great breakfast with lots of variety. It’s also open all day for lunch, dinner, and desserts, which was a huge plus for us, the food and desserts were absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean and comfortable, with excellent housekeeping. The only downside was the AC, which took a long time to cool, so something to be aware of during the warmer months. Overall, a great stay with fantastic service and food, and I would definitely stay here again.
Unfortunately, our experience did not meet the expectations of a five-star hotel. To highlight a few issues: • During breakfast this morning, there was no bread available, which is quite unacceptable. • The staff behavior was unprofessional and unhelpful. Whenever we asked for something, we were simply told to get it ourselves. • Despite being advertised as a five-star hotel, there was no bar available, and no alcoholic beverages were served. • Overall, we were extremely disappointed with the level of service and hospitality provided. We chose your hotel expecting high standards and quality service, but sadly, our experience was far from satisfactory. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and take the necessary steps to improve the guest experience.
⚠️ DO NOT STAY HERE – CASH STOLEN FROM MY BAG IN MY ROOM, HOTEL IGNORED IT I stayed at Clarion Hotel Golden Horn and had $940 in cash stolen from my room. I reported it immediately to hotel staff. They claimed nothing like this had ever happened in years which felt more like an attempt to dismiss my experience than address it. I reported it immediately. No urgency. No apology. No concern. They simply asked the cleaning staff if they “saw anything” (obviously they said no), and told me to call the police if I wanted. When I finally met with the security manager, he flatly told me they can’t provide anything. No report. No CCTV footage. No answers. Not even basic empathy. Of course the staff are going to keep stealing the hotel clearly protects them. The only defense the hotel gave was that the staff have worked there for a while. That doesn’t make them trustworthy — that just means they’ve had time to get comfortable taking things and getting away with it It wasn’t just the theft that upset me — it was how the hotel made it clear they didn’t care. I felt like a problem, NOT A GUEST. No accountability. No support. Just blank stares and cold responses. If you value your safety, your peace of mind, your money or even just basic human decency — DO NOT stay here. The staff’s refusal to take responsibility or even show compassion says everything. I’m truly disgusted and deeply disappointed.
