Aristo International Hotel

Very nice hotel and good location even though now I believe its 5 stars and not 4

A nice 4-star hotel (though to the side of the entrance, with the name, they put 5 stars). Sadly the economic situation of Lao Cai is much, much too dependent on Chinese tourists. And China closed the border a long time ago already (just like they put tourists of foreign countries prison, without proof or anything, just like they bully Canada, Australia, other countries, like they occupy land of other countries like India and Vietnam; an imperialistic truth-suppressing no freedom fascist country; high time we stop buying products from this country and sanction them). So the people in Lao Cai (market, hotels, trains, bars, restaurants, etc.) suffer very much. The hotel had almost no customers. The room was very good, spacious. The shower cabin missed a glass door to close, so the whole bathroom became wet all the time. The breakfast was non existent, we had to choose from a menu, no buffet, no yoghurt, no cereals, no fruit. Let us hope that the situation will improve (the Chinese just announced opening of the border again). But Lao Cai market should sell also vietnamese products, not only everything from China, and hotels should have English speaking staff. We had a nice 4-star feeling stay with some adjustments.

Staffs can't use, speak or understand English at all !!! Room is ok, breakfast is so so. Everything is for Chinese. Agree that should change hotel's name from Aristo international hotel to Aristo Chinese hotel , service and facilities are worse than many 3 stars hotels
