Wow! Seriously, just wow. Stayed here for six nights in November, this was hands down the best experience I’ve ever had… I’ve stayed in 5 and 6 star places throughout Australia and the world and for me this topped them all!! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left I felt at home. The staff, Lilly, Taylor, Ella, Nathan, Monica, Joel, Olivia and Ali were phenomenal. Hospitality professionals each with their own unique knowledge and experience… Nothing was ever too much, pre empting our needs, back up plans when the weather wasn’t great, stunning meals with local ingredients, some from the property, unlimited drinks, beautifully furnished rooms… I just wish we had stayed longer.. Thank you to all the team at Arkaba for making this holiday with my mum visiting from the UK a trio of a lifetime!

We spent 3 nights at Arkaba in high summer and loved it. The homestead is small and informal but super comfortable. The staff are professional and welcoming. However you are probably there for the walking or for the ‘safaris’ which run too suit you. In high summer walking is confined to early morning due to the heat. There are kangaroos, emus and wild birds in abundance but the real attraction of the tours is the greater understanding you will get about the South Australian flora and fauna and how it has been impacted over the years by settlers. The Arkaba ‘project’ is seeking to rewild this old sheep station - a long term labour of love for which they are to be congratulated. Our guide, Monica, was knowledgable, enthusiastic and charming (as I am sure the others are too). The bonus at Arkaba for us was the food. Our chef, Calvin, recently arrived at Arkaba having been Ottolenghi’s Executive Chef in London. His dishes clearly had the Ottolenghi influence but Calvin made them his own often with the addition of native ingredients. Amazing! This comment should not detract from the the other chef’s who were also masters of the kitchen. Highly recommended.

Wonderful authentic experience. Peaceful place, very professional and prepared, kind staff, delicious food. Care and attention to every details: the room is changed twice a day and with care and the meals are well varied. You can use the place including the beverage as you were at home. The wine selection is vary and of high level. The guides were at our service to bring us where we wanted and able to explain us everything we would like to deepen. Don’t miss the sunrise experience!
