Excellent location. Great staff at the front desk. All of them very polite. I booked a 2 queen bed room and it was very clean and spacious. The front staff was very polite and answered every question we had and also explained all the benefits covered by the "urban fee". I forget the front desk staff names since I spoke to a bunch of them over my 4 day stay but they were all excellent. The hotel has a decent gym too. They let me keep my bags in their cloakroom for free since I was early and also let me keep it there after checkout since my flight was much later. Overall enjoyed my stay.

Modern, Clean and the staff were great. Only complaints were the window view backed straight onto another building but not a biggie if you're only using the room to sleep. Shower was too powerful for me (no, you couldn't just turn it down as it had to be full power to get hot water) Very well located.

Overall, I was satisfied with my stay at the Arlo Hotel in Chicago. The location is excellent—right in the heart of the city and within walking distance of major attractions, which many guests also highlight as a key advantage. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit, and the rooms were comfortable and well-equipped with modern amenities. However, I was expecting a more boutique and pristine atmosphere based on the photos and marketing materials. While the lobby is modern and inviting, certain details detracted from the boutique feel. Most notably, the elevator experience was disappointing: the materials used, especially the flooring and wallpaper, felt low-quality and reminded me more of a budget hotel than a boutique property. Another aspect that would enhance the boutique experience is scent. I noticed there was no distinctive fragrance upon entering the lobby or in the hallways, which is something I associate with higher-end boutique hotels. During my visit, I had one meal at the hotel restaurant. I ordered steak and fries—the steak was cooked perfectly, but both the steak and fries were extremely salty. While the service was attentive, I was too polite to mention the seasoning when asked. In summary, while the Arlo offers a great location, friendly service, and comfortable rooms, some details—particularly the elevator finishes and lack of a signature scent—fell short of the boutique experience I anticipated. The restaurant has potential, but seasoning could be improved. I would consider staying again, but hope to see some refinements in these areas.
