Armon Hotel & Conference

We had a comfortable weekday night at the hotel which was almost empty. The rate was better than all comparable Stamford hotels, although it is a few minutes drive to downtown. Plenty of good coffee shops and other restaurants nearby. Desk staff was efficient and friendly. Parking was easy and at $10 a night, a better deal than hotels closer to I95. I could easily stay there again if I need to be in Stamford. 15 minutes to the beach.

I stayed at the Armon Hotel for one night. I'm not sure if the location is good or not, but the lobby is beautiful very big and impressive. If you're someone who enjoys grand lobbies, this one definitely stands out. Customer service was good, and the food was delicious. The hotel has a cool and different vibe. However, the room itself wasn't great. There was no air conditioning, and it was extremely hot, which made it hard to sleep. I'd rate the hotel around a 3 or 4 out of 10. Even though the lobby and a few other features are cool, they don't make the hotel feel truly special. If you're just staying for one night, it might be okay. But for a few days, I'm not sure this would be the right place.

The hotel offers a pleasant ambiance overall, and the room can be considered average, perhaps slightly above average. However, I encountered three significant issues during my stay that I believe warrant attention. Firstly, the television in the room was not functioning properly, consistently displaying a "no signal" message despite various attempts to troubleshoot. Secondly, the phone intended for contacting the front desk was inoperative, as it yielded only a busy signal. Lastly, and quite concerning, was the condition of the shower/tub, which contained hair left from a previous guest. This was particularly troubling since we had not yet used the facilities, and I always prioritize cleaning before use in accommodations that are not my own. The presence of hair and the discoloration on the shower/tub floor were both unsettling and disappointing. I hope this feedback is helpful for improving the guest experience.
