I stayed at Arsi Enfi City Hotel and had a very pleasant experience overall. The hotel is in a good location, not far from the beach and close to the city center, which made it convenient for walking and exploring. The rooms were clean, modern, and well-maintained. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the beds were comfortable. I had a room with a view of the pool, which I really enjoyed. The food at the restaurant was tasty and varied. Breakfast, in particular, offered a wide selection of local and international dishes. The restaurant staff was friendly and efficient. The pool and facilities were clean and pleasant. There were always free sunbeds available, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The hotel staff was very kind and always ready to help. Some of them spoke English, which made communication easier.
Avoid this hotel – complete disappointment! This hotel is an absolute disaster. From the moment we arrived, we were hit with an overwhelming sewage smell that spread throughout the entire area – from the reception to the rooms and dining hall. It felt like staying on top of a drainage system. The rooms were filthy and in terrible condition. There wasn’t even a place to hang wet swimwear – the only option was to drape it over an old, disgusting plastic chair on the balcony. The bed linen was stained and smelled bad, and the tiny fridge didn’t work, causing my medication to spoil in the heat – completely unacceptable! The shower drained poorly, leaving standing water every time we used it. Rooms weren’t cleaned or tidied for several days, and towels were never replaced. The floors were constantly dirty and sticky to walk on. The pool was overcrowded and dirty, with loud arguments between guests, and no staff stepped in to handle the disturbances. The beach area charged extra for sunbeds every single day – even though this is supposed to be an “all-inclusive” hotel. The food was another nightmare: the same boring and tasteless meals every day, dirty and uncleaned tables, and the whole buffet area reeked of sewage. It was often impossible to find a clean, available table, and the staff seemed tired, disinterested, and unwilling to help. Asking for anything felt like a burden. You even have to pay for basic things like towel rental, and many guests looked frustrated and dissatisfied throughout their stay. Worst of all, there are multiple fake 5-star reviews that clearly seem written by staff or friends trying to cover up how awful this place really is. Don’t be fooled! This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at, and I strongly recommend everyone to stay far away. It will completely ruin your vacation.
I’m honestly writing this review in tears. What was meant to be a relaxing holiday turned into one of the most distressing experiences I’ve ever had. We arrived at Arsi Enfi City Beach Hotel with a confirmed booking… and were told they had no room for us. No apology. No care. Just cold, blank faces. They forced us into a van and dragged us to five filthy, cockroach-infested hotels. The smell in some made me physically sick. One hotel had blood on the sheets, another had mold-covered walls. I felt unsafe, unwelcome, and completely broken. After 4 hours of being treated like garbage, screamed at by receptionists, and nearly in tears — we came back and demanded a refund. Suddenly, they “found” three rooms. So they lied and watched us suffer for no reason. And the rooms? Dirty. Smelly. Depressing. I couldn’t sleep. I wanted to go home. The staff didn’t care. No compassion. No respect. Just stone cold silence. Please… don’t book this hotel. No one deserves to be treated like this. It ruined my trip, and it broke me.
