Art Hotel Nikolaevsky Posad

Beautiful hotel, very different from what you would normally expect with the hotel consisting of separate buildings, each unique in interior design. The grounds are well maintained, the rooms are very neat and the the food well prepared. We really enjoyed the folklore dance preformed at dinner.

We stayed 2 nights while in suzdal and we were so impressed with this faciloty/complex. It was like being in a b&b , not a huge hotel. There were so many buildings it was lovely to walk and see all the flowers and butterflies. The restaurant was also good and reasonably priced . Breakfast was nothing special at all, but convenient and ok. The reason I gave 3 stars and not more was the sauna and pool. We went there to use the pool and we were immediately told about a lot of rules! You have to put this tight head thing over your hair, which I really didn’t want to do. They are also quick to tell you that you can only stay an hour without an additional fee. Even with that, I would stay there again!

We have stayed in the hotel for 1 night. There was a large group of families with children (I believe it was some sort of convention) that made noise until late in the evening, well past 11pm and beyond, completely oblivious of the other guests in the hotel : kids running and yelling in the hallways, doors slamming, loud music and singing, loud conversation. The worst part is: the hotel did not seem to care much : they promised to send someone in 5 min (I got that answer several times for a longer time lapse) but the noise continued nevertheless. For a so called 4 star hotel , this is not up to expectations. Stay away…
