The air conditioned rooms are generally clean with large bathrooms and a safe for valuables. The beds are the most comfortable beds I've slept on in a hotel for as long as I can remember. The staff are all friendly and attentive. Breakfast has a good spread of quality food, including cooked meats, deli meat, cheese, breads, fruit, cereal, pastries, juices and coffee. The rooftop pool makes for great views over the city with comfortable sun loungers and a clean pool. Pool towels are provided and beach towels upon request.
Really enjoyed my time here and kicking myself I only spent 2 nights in Split. Was pleasantly surprised on arrival to be upgraded from the Annex to the main hotel build and what a beautiful room it was. Very large, clean and in great condition. Breakfast was plentiful with many options for those who like sweet or savoury (or both!) The rooftop pool was great to enjoy with a good book, whilst taking in the views of Split. A great location, only a 15 - 20 minute walk to the waterfront. Surprised this is only 3 star after having stayed at many Italian and French '4 star' hotels which don't come near the Art Hotel in quality, standard and amenities. Hopefully I can return some day and spend longer there.
Not suitable for families with kids. They don’t allow more than two people per room—even small children must stay in a separate room, which is bizarre. Booked one room with a king bed! The reception staff were unfriendly, lacked basic communication skills, and seemed unaware of their own hotel policies. They had to call the manager several times and ended up wasting our time late at night after a long flight. In the end, we decided not to stay even one night as planned. We found a 5-star hotel right next door with a better price at the reception desk—and they welcomed our family of four in one room without any issue.
