Artiem Audax Adults Only Hotel

I'm baffled and amused by some of the low ratings for the Artiem Audax. The hotel is fantastic. Clean, very relaxed atmosphere, fantastic friendly and accommodating staff. Special shout out to Alicia, Mario and Santi. The service was impeccable, the food offerings wonderful and fresh, the room was always turned over perfectly each morning. Very nice pool area. We used the hotel's kayaks twice during our stay and loved it. We also did the spa thermal circuit twice. So relaxing. The rooms aren't huge, but they were big enough. If you plan to spend your holiday in a hotel room, then your problems extend far beyond a small room. My only negative feedback is the lack of decent coffee in the room. I like a good coffee first thing and all I could have was instant until I made it to breakfast. Also, the charge for water at dinner, which is otherwise freely available at the hotel. So two very minor irks. I would definitely return to this hotel. So long as Alicia is still around 😊 she honestly helped my husband and I have a wonderful stay.

Lovely hotel for adults only and loved the “No smoking” in any areas, inside and outside. Great location, beach 3 minutes away and hotel interior is modern with lovely bedrooms and bathrooms. Staff friendly and attentive and service in restaurant is great. Restaurant only let down by lack of vegetarian main courses at evening meals. Last night there was only pasta that was vegetarian so our main course was salad with beans and chickpeas for protein! The salad bar is extensive and well stocked and they do have vegetarian “flags” on cocktail sticks but rarely use them. Desserts are a wonderful display of every type of cake you can think of with ice cream every night. Having said this about the restaurant, it didn’t spoil a really lovely holiday made even better by the Nightingales we could hear in the pine trees opposite our room. The Algendar Gorge, where the river flows from, is a short walk from the hotel and is great for birdwatching.

Absolutely loved the location of this fabulous hotel. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here. We loved the Bali beds by the pool, the free kayak hire and the buffet breakfast. The staff were lovely. Next time I would pay more for a sea view.
