I stayed in a Club Room with a Sea View. Overall, this hotel stands out as one of the best in town. Its location, staff hospitality, and the amenities offered in the public areas are all top-notch. While the room itself shows some age, including some chipped paint on the windows, it provides excellent insulation from outside noise. The air conditioning is very cold, perfect for guests coming from countries with colder climates. The staff is exceptional, especially in the breakfast area and at the front office. They provide genuine local hospitality. While you won't find the same kind of familiarity you might experience in Western cultures, they are genuinely focused on finding solutions to your needs and exceeding your expectations. If I return to town, I will definitely be staying at this hotel again. The breakfast selection is good and well-presented. However, it caters more towards local tastes. If you're looking for a typical Western breakfast, you might not find the exact options you're used to. On the other hand, if you're interested in trying a local breakfast, you'll be delighted. They offer everything from locally brewed coffee to traditional breakfast pastries. The Photo is a view from my room.

The building may look a bit old, but it’s fully functional and has a classic charm. The location is unbeatable, right in front of Losari Beach promenade with stunning views of the 99 Dome Mosque from higher floors. Even the Deluxe Room comes with a bathtub, which is a rare find in this price range. The food is tasty, especially the coffee and traditional dishes, though main course options are a bit limited. There’s also a gym in the basement, though it’s basic. Overall, a comfortable stay in a prime Makassar location.

Disappointing considering a lot of positive reviews. Stayed for 3 nights, did not get a hot shower our whole stay! Wifi didn't work in our first room, despite the claims the hotel had full coverage in every room. We changed rooms and then the 2nd room shower was just a dribble with no pressure. Third room was better, but shower still not hot. For $170(Au) a night, I expected a lot better. I won't stay here again. I'm sure there are cheaper better quality options in Makassar.
