Asara Private Beach Resort

Fantastic room with 3 windows facing the pool and private beach. Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The price of the room was comparable to what you would pay for a 3 star hotel in the U.S. so for us this hotel was a great value. Breakfast was delicious, the pool was clean, and there is some of the best snorkeling on the island right off the beach. 10/10 we will stay here again!

Top rated - definitely one of the best in the island, very friendly staff, luxury decors (for Lipe), discrete private beach and beautiful sunset views. We spend a few days of our honeymoon here, very thoughtful setup for us too :) Albeit hotel is a bit far from the centre, hotel owner provide free taxi, free kayak, free snorkelling kit made up for it!

Its beach offers some privacy for travellers who do not like the more crowded ones like the Pattaya Beach or the Andaman Hotel Beach. The downside of the beach is that its sand is coarse and soft making it behaving like quicksand. The hotel itself is nice. For the price of a 3-star hotel you get yourself a 5-star beach resort. Staff is friendly and most speak fairly good English. The swimming pool is clean and not crowded with a pool bar at one end, manned by a bartender. There is free shuttle to the town which can be called at anytime between 8am and 8.50pm. Scenery from this hotel is breathtaking. Please refer to the photos as testimony. Sunset is viewed from the room without obstruction. Check-in is simple and fast. Check-out takes a little while but fairly smooth. Again the free shuttle takes travellers to their intended destination within the island at no cost.
