I stayed at Ascot Park while in town for a conference. The facilities were fantastic and my room was clean and nicely decorated. The standout however was the customer service - nothing was an issue for the staff and they were all amazing to deal with. I was slightly apprehensive staying a way from town but shouldn’t have been as the free shuttle service was amazing. All in all a fantastic hotel.
This was a work trip to Invercargill, the room I had was spacious and warm. The meals I had at the onsite restaurant were generous portions and great tasting. I was also working in the conference rooms which were well setup and the staff were helpful and obliging as I had my own equipment to connect into they in house AV system.
My fiancée loved the vibe and the price was right, so we were off to a good start. Then we met the wedding coordinator, who seemed to be on a mission to sell us her flower package like her life depended on it. Don’t get me wrong — the flowers were nice but it got a bit awkward
