Ascovilla

Such a wonderful hotel! The staff is very kind and extremely service oriented, the cleanliness is immaculate and the location is fantastic. We had a wonderful vacation staying with Ascovilla. Thank you Mrs. Faucherre and your team for making our stay so wonderful.

Dream Hotel for old and young ❤️ The hotel is very well situated, right on the Swiss coastline of lake Maggiore, next to the infamous hotel Eden Rock in Ascona. It is easy to reach the town center by walk within just 5 minutes, or even easier and faster with the bikes of the hotel. Though, the hotel was very quite with a relaxing atmosphere. The rooms were comfortable, already renovated and very clean. Nice turn down service in the evening. The breakfast buffet was rich, offering buffet and á la minute orders. Great thank you to the staff. They were very friendly, helpful and very attentive. For e.g. we put our glasses of orange juice down on an empty table in the morning. When we came back from the buffet the table was already perfectly set. 😍👏 The pool is quite big and heated, offering a pool bar and pool side restaurant, where you can order drinks and snacks during the day. Very well done. We are happy to be back.

Amazing location, nice pool area and good breakfast. Unfortunately super thin walls, we heard every word, toilet flush or water running of our neighbor room(s). Also, bed was full of hair which wasn’t mine. Personally the worst was the restaurant issue: as they don’t have enough capacity, they collaborate with other restaurants in town. But they didn’t let us reserve a table in advance, even though we asked proactively when we booked. When we checked-in, we were given a trashy hostel style restaurant as the only choice. I mean, this is a 4* hotel, they should better partner with restaurants which offer a similar level, similar style. No go. When we complained, suddenly there were other choices - why didn’t we get these immediately?? We felt like we were put in a box because we dressed in hiking clothing... such a wrong treatment.. very strange and not guest friendly. You should treat all of your guests equally and worthy of 4*. We are paying the same price!
