Aseania Resort Langkawi

The rooms were quite spacious but every items is quite old. The twin beds provided could accommodate two people in one bed. Staffs were quite polite and friendly. Pool was okayish and they had swimming costumes available at their store if someone wants to buy. Major issue is the property is quite old and needs to be renovated. They haven't maintained it well. The bathroom had direct water supply from geyser that needs to be fixed.

Recommend to stay away and choose another hotel. I thought might be value for money, but was mistaken. Swimming pool was the worst. Don't go by the picture, it just looks gigantic. The pool was so dirty, I literally got out of the pool as soon as I realized it. Washroom was dirty, rust everywhere and free cockroaches. Water kettle had rust; towels had stains. No room service on the last day even after calling multiple times, let alone cleaning it on their own. Breakfast was the only thing that was fine. Location is good as well- walking distance to the market area. The management has a lot of work to do- they own a huge space, with parking space, big pool and a lot of greenery. They can easily renovate it, but it seems are waiting for a miracle.

Apart from the staff who were helpful and friendly, the hotel is very old, basic and lacks maintenance. This includes food, open buffet breakfast, rooms and toilets. Indeed the toilets need more than just a renovation. Although the hotel has a lot of potential and is a good location, I believe it lacks a professional management. Lastly, many ants everywhere in the rooms and hotel. In terms of staff I give this hotel 4 to 5 stars but for other things it deserves zero stars or less. Not worth the money.
