Wonderful Stay at Aselia Hotel Trabzon! We traveled from the USA and had a fantastic experience at Aselia Hotel. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the staff – they were incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. (Especially Sevgi, she was the coolest and the greatest front office agent I’ve seen 👏)Their hospitality made us feel welcome and well cared for throughout our visit. While there were some improvements needed with the food and beverage options and the heating system, the exceptional service from the staff more than made up for it. Thank you for making our trip to Trabzon memorable – we truly appreciate the warmth and dedication of the Aselia team!
The hotel’s location is good and close to shopping malls, supermarkets, and restaurants. However, the rooms are very small, and there was a bad smell in the room at all times due to the lack of a ventilation fan in the bathroom. There was always a very unpleasant odor in the bathroom no matter how clean it was. I requested to change my room, but my request was refused, even though my booking was for 3 days. The only solution they offered for the odor problem was to spray air freshener in the bathroom, which didn’t help at all. The elevators are old and slow, and there are only two in the entire hotel, so you can easily end up waiting at least 5 minutes for one to arrive. The breakfast buffet is very limited and below average. The door alert system in my room was broken and stuck on “request cleaning service,” so housekeeping staff kept knocking on my door multiple times a day and even entered the room while I was out — despite me informing the reception on the first day that the system was broken and I didn’t need cleaning service. The room’s cleanliness was poor — I even found socks next to the bed left by the previous guest.
Our recent stay at this hotel was far from satisfactory. Right from the start, we noticed an unpleasant **sewage-like smell** in the room, which made it uncomfortable to stay in. To make matters worse, **strange noises** (possibly from plumbing or machinery) kept us awake at night, making it nearly impossible to get proper rest. The **buffet quality was average at best**, but the biggest letdown was that the **hot food items were served cold**, as if they had been sitting out for too long. For the price we paid, we expected much better in terms of both comfort and dining experience. Location was ideal as you would be near many shops, cafes and restaurants.
