Ashton Motel

We stayed at the Aston Motel after another hotel completely “dropped the ball” on our booking and turned it was for the better. Very accommodating (considering I called in well after their office hours and needed 2 rooms for 2 nights), they prepared 2 rooms for our family to stay and even checked in with us in the morning to confirm everything was ok with for our stay the next morning. Clean rooms, extremely comfortable beds and fantastic hot showers 👌🏼👌🏼 Highly recommend if you’re in the Tumut area and need a place to stay check these guys out Thanks again for your hospitality guys 🙏🏽

A Gem in Tumut – Perfect Stop on the Way to Selwyn Snowfields. We stayed at Ashton Motel in Tumut for one night over a busy weekend, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The room was spotless and beautifully maintained, with fresh, bright linen and towels that made a great impression. The toiletries were of excellent quality, and the in-room information catalogue was surprisingly helpful for getting oriented. The light breakfast included was a thoughtful touch—simple but perfect for a relaxed morning, especially if you're enjoying a lazy start depending on the weather. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of town, with restaurants and pubs just a short walk away. Despite being central, it was peaceful and quiet. We absolutely loved our stay here on the way to the Selwyn Snowfields. Tumut is a charming little town, and Ashton Motel made our visit even more memorable. Highly recommended!

The Ashton Motel is conveniently located in Tumut and is about two minutes walking distance to Coles and Kmart. The staff were helpful and upon check in provided the light breakfast which was nice. The rooms are sufficient for what you pay for. An additional benefit of staying here is that it is located near some fantastic food places. If you are in the area and looking for an affordable motel the Ashton is the one.
