Great cozy hotel with private hot spring bath inside the room! Breakfast is superb! There are many healthy options. Staff are warm and welcoming. The hotel also has entertainment room where you can play video games and table games. It is also well-located and close to tourist spots, natural hotspring, overlooking view, pagodas, parks and many more! I definitely recommend this hotel in Beitu, Taiwan!

Beautiful hotel. Away from the bustling areas if that's what you're looking for but yet it's only half an hour ride to XMT and 101. Hot springs tatami room was awesome. Nice big pool.

We spent two relaxing nights at Asia Pacific Hotel Xinbeitou, and overall, it was a pleasant and restful stay. The hotel itself is quiet and serene, located slightly away from the busy city center, making it a great spot for anyone looking to unwind. Though a little out of the way, the hotel provides regular shuttle services to and from Beitou and Xinbeitou MRT stations, which is very helpful. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by a spacious and elegant lobby, and the reception staff were extremely warm and helpful — truly excellent service that set the tone for our stay. Special compliments to the team for their friendliness throughout our visit. Our room was beautifully designed in a Japanese style, with a lovely private onsen bathtub that uses genuine hot spring water. Perfect for those who prefer to enjoy their soak in the privacy of their own space. The bed was large and comfortable, with just the right firmness. We also appreciated the complimentary mini-bar and the separate toilet and shower, which was a thoughtful design. Our stay included breakfast at the Level 1 restaurant, and the selection was decent — a good mix of local and international items, and the taste was satisfying. The hotel offers some activities at Level 1, such as a VR experience (limited to two plays per room) and a few arcade-style machines. While it’s a nice touch, we personally felt the activity offerings were not as engaging compared to other onsen hotels we’ve stayed at in Taiwan, where activities were more immersive and plentiful — the kind that really lets you stay in without wanting to head out. Still, it’s a pleasant way to spend some downtime. There’s also a happy hour from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm at the same level, where guests can help themselves to light snacks like chips, chocolates, and cold-brew teas. Soft drinks and coffee are available too, and alcoholic beverages like beer can be purchased separately. A lovely detail that adds a bit of charm. The semi-indoor pool is small, with two short swimming lanes and a kids’ pool. Please note that swimming caps are required, which might be a little inconvenient for international guests unfamiliar with this policy. We would gently suggest that the hotel consider offering rental caps instead of requiring guests to purchase one — especially since many tourists may not use it again. While we understand the hygiene concern, similar standards already apply to reusable items like towels, bedsheets, and pillowcases, which are properly disinfected. We believe the same could be done for swim caps to enhance convenience and guest experience. One area the hotel could improve on is housekeeping. We had requested our room to be cleaned before heading out, and when we returned, the room was neat, towels changed, and everything seemed in order — except we found a clump of long hair on a towel, which clearly didn’t belong to either of us. It’s a small issue, but worth noting for the housekeeping team to pay closer attention to detail in the future. Lastly, the shared public onsen pools were wonderful. The water temperature was just right, and it was enjoyable to have the option to choose among different pools depending on your preference. The onsen staff were friendly and attentive, and we truly appreciated their service. All in all, Asia Pacific Hotel Xinbeitou is a solid option if you're looking for a peaceful retreat with beautiful hot spring facilities. With a few small improvements, especially in terms of tourist convenience and room inspection, this hotel could easily rise to a full 5-star experience. We would definitely recommend it to friends looking for a comfortable and quiet getaway in the Beitou area.
