A Wonderful Stay with Just a Few Minor Flaws We had a fantastic experience at Avalon Beach Resort. The room was incredibly spacious and came with two air conditioners, which kept it perfectly cool and comfortable. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was peaceful and quiet — ideal for a relaxing getaway. One small area for improvement would be the linens and towels. For such a well-maintained and impressive hotel, it’s a bit of a shame that the bedding felt a little outdated and worn. Also, the breakfast was quite basic and could use a bit more variety. Aside from these minor details, everything else was great. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a calm, comfortable stay near the beach.
The rooms are spacious, and we booked a deluxe suite. The rooms are pretty large, and the service is good. However, we were disappointed with the breakfast options. There was nothing available for vegetarians, and the non-vegetarian food was not satisfactory either. As a result, we had breakfast outside daily, making paying for the hotel's breakfast unnecessary. There is an Egyptian and an Indian. The restaurant outside the hotel was outstanding. The food is just excellent. I love the tamarind juice and the variety of salads
The overall experience at Aspen Suites Hotel Sukhumvit 2 was disappointing. The service was poor — the reception staff were unhelpful and showed little respect when asked for assistance. At check-in, we were handed a key and told to find our room with no guidance or support. Even simple requests were met with indifference. The room itself felt outdated. The lighting was dim and unpleasant, and the bathroom sink didn’t drain properly — likely clogged with hair. There was visible mold around the bathtub, particularly in the silicone. When we tried to use the pool, there were no towels available as they had all been taken by other guests, and no staff were around to assist. Breakfast was very underwhelming and certainly not worth the additional cost. The hot food included small, processed chicken sausages, thin slices of what was supposedly chicken ham (both left sitting in water and cold by the time it reached the plate), fried eggs, some rice, and an Indian dish. The overall quality and presentation were poor. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this hotel and will not be staying here again on my next visit to Bangkok.
