Had a great stay at Aspera! The staff is beyond lovely, super helpful and a pleasure to see during my stay. The front desk is wonderful! The rooms are very clean, the hotel is practically new like. It’s in the perfect location. Close to galata tower and all the stores on Istiklal street. Metro right in front of hotel if you’re looking to use that. Very lively around the hotel if you’re looking to stay out late but if not, rooms are very quiet and pleasant to sleep in.

We booked the hotel through the hotel website a few months before our arrival to Istanbul for a family reunion. We even confirm our reservation the day before our arrival. When we arrived in hotel, the receptionist told that our reservation was canceled. The front desk manager was so unprofessional. They could not find any reason why our reservation was canceled since there was not any email or cancellation approval. We ended up going to a different hotel and we were separated from other family members. The hotel is nice and the location is great but we experienced the worst customer service.

Absolutely appalling experience – avoid this hotel. We had a confirmed reservation for 3 people at Aspera Hotel Golden Horn made 3 months in advance. We even called the hotel a few days before and again the day before arrival, and both times were assured that everything was fine and they were expecting us. However, we arrived at midnight after a long journey — with senior and unwell members in our group — only to be told our reservation was canceled because of a “credit card issue.” No one ever contacted us about this supposed problem, despite having our phone and email. When we asked why we weren’t informed, the staff rudely told us to leave and said it wasn’t their problem. Left stranded in the middle of the night in a foreign city, we were forced to search for another hotel on our own. The next morning, we spoke with the manager, who was extremely dismissive, unapologetic, and took no responsibility for what happened. This level of unprofessionalism, lack of empathy, and basic hospitality is shocking. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if you’re looking for reliability and respectful treatment
