Astagina Resort Villa and Spa

This is our second stay here and when booking our holiday we did not look at other accommodation as we were so impressed the first time. We were greeted by a welcome home letter and note on the mirror and fruit plate to welcome us back. The staff are just so friendly and happy. Beautiful gardens and pool areas. Everyone says hello to each other and just a very relaxed place to stay. Food is very good and the breakfast in the morning has a big selection of different options. Cocktails at the pool bar are good value and delicious. At night there is no noise from surrounding venues due to being off the street. Staff are happy to assist with any request's and always say hello and hope you have a nice day with a big smile. Rooms and entire grounds are always clean and very well maintained. Rooms are a good size with comfortable beds and pillows. Exceptional value for money.

Fell in love with Bali thanks to this stunning resort where my brother held his wedding A place that now lives in my heart. This was my very first time visiting Bali and I can honestly say I fell completely in love with the island, the culture, and especially Astagina Resort. From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful, welcoming and beautifully cared for. The resort is stunning, the rooms are clean and cozy, and the tropical gardens make you feel like you’re in your own little paradise. The food was absolutely beautiful, fresh, full of flavour and served with such care. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the incredible service from the staff. I want to give a special mention to Mei and Diki, both of them went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Their kindness, warm smiles made such a difference. You can tell they love what they do and it shows in the way they care for guests. Astagina is not just a resort, it is a feeling. And it now holds a very special place in my heart. Thank you for being such a beautiful part of my first Bali experience. I will definitely be back.

The resort has to decide what its unique selling point is for guests. Will it be a location venue to host garden weddings and events? Or a venue for guests to enjoy a relaxing and quiet villa setting? It cannot be both. My three stars is due to my recent experience. For 2 of the 3 nights, there were large weddings, birthday parties and other ceremonies going on in the afternoon, evening and night. The garden and family pool would be blocked off with the setting up and then the loud speakers and music playing or the band warming up. All this happening right on the doorstep of our villas. See the photo as you open your villa door with the view of the garden. It was not a relaxing stay and I had to leave my villa to escape the loud noise. For future guests, you may want to check beforehand whether there are these large events and whether the villa facilities are being blocked off and cannot be used. Whether you will be comfortable walking around with your pool attire while wedding guests walk past you to attend the garden wedding.
