Astana Wing Riverside Majestic Hotel

Excellent stay – Great value, great location! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I booked a Superior Twin room at Riverside Majestic Hotel Astana Wing and was very pleased with my stay. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained — perfect for a comfortable night’s rest. The location is excellent, right by the Kuching Waterfront with easy access to major attractions, eateries, and shops. It was convenient to explore the city on foot from here. The price was very reasonable for what you get. Definitely good value, especially considering the size and comfort of the room. What stood out the most was the friendly and helpful staff — from check-in to housekeeping, everyone was welcoming and professional. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a convenient, clean, and comfortable stay in Kuching!

Hotel room is spacious. Location is great. Concierge staff are helpful. Housekeeping standards needs to be improved. Stayed for 6D5N with a group of friends and we are constantly met with non replenishment of clean towels, bathrobe, facial tissues, toilet papers, etc. There were also stains on the pillow cases. Do relook on your housekeeping process flow. Perhaps a checking list can be given to the housekeeping staff when they perform their daily housekeeping duties.

This is not a true 5-star hotel! While the location is excellent and breakfast was good, the rooms fall far short of the claimed rating. Mold in the shower, low-quality amenities (including cheap shower gel), and an overall lack of luxury make it feel more like a mid-range property. The room itself was quite outdated and not well maintained, with visible wear and tear. Sustainability is completely absent — they still use disposable plastic bottles for shower gel and toiletries instead of refillable dispensers. Overall, very disappointing if you’re expecting genuine 5-star comfort.
