Astir Patras Hotel

I absolutely loved this Hotel for it's old worldly charm - some of the features and fittings are amazing, like the fireplace in the dining room and the marble. If you wanted to find fault - there is room for improvement on the balconies and staircases (which you don't see if you use the lifts) - but the room was HUGE, the bed was HUGE and comfortable, i adored the bathroom and everything was spotlessly clean. The maid on the fourth floor was amazing. Would not hesitate to book this Hotel again or to recommend it to others.

Had a look at the poor reviews from a few years ago …we saw none of that! Really enjoyed a two day break here, Christos the doorman was brilliant, Maria and her crew did a very good breakfast, reception staff were excellent, best bed so far in Greece, massive bath to soak days of travel away ….. view from room, absolutely stunning! I am a very happy customer as was my daughter! Will definitely book again!

I have never had such a horrible experience at a hotel ever in my entire life. The hotel Was in a dilapidated state, everything was dirty and smelly. It was like from a horror film. Stains on the bed, smelly musty carpet and room, horrible prison like bathroom. To make matters worse, they had a party at the hotel till 4 am with music blasting so loud it was like we were inside a club. We had to wake up at 7 am and our group had absolutely no sleep. When I phoned the concierge they told me it’s not in their hands to do anything and just be patient!! I felt like I was being punished in that hotel rather than -a paying customer. Besides the front desk staff that night the rest of the staff was excellent though and cannot fault them as they were all professional and extremely polite and accommodating. All in all I wouldn’t ever step my foot near this place ever again!
