Aston Sorong is a very good hotel. The receptionist is very helpful and warm. They help me for early check-in because I arrived in Sorong in the early morning which I’m very grateful for it. The hotel is near to the airport, so the hotel is very recommended especially for you who are planning for transit. Another good point, the room is super clean👍
Amazing stay at the Aston, we stayed one night here prior to starting our live-aboard dive trip and loved it! For the staff - check in was super easy, very friendly staff, really accommodating and helped with all of our questions about town including about renting a motorbike. For the rooms - wonderful rooms (spacious, clean, big), really comfy beds and pillow. For the hotel food - restaurant on the first floor had breakfast included with numerous options. There’s also a restaurant/sky bar on the rooftop that is open in the evenings with their “western menu” (think burgers, fries, pizza) and it also has live music so the vibes were immaculate. For the amenities - nice pool area on the first floor, didn’t use it but there were kids playing and it looked like a cute pool. There is also a spa which we are planning to use when we return from our dive trip (staying there again for two nights, will likely update this review). Practical things - there are two atms right outside the hotel front door. The hotel was walking distance from the airport (we only had backpacks so it was an easy walk, might be harder if you have roller luggage due to uneven sidewalks etc). Surrounding the hotel are countless little shops and Indonesian restaurants that are walking distance. There is also an indomart about a ten minute walk from the hotel. Felt like a safe area during the day, walked around the main streets, but we avoided going out at night. Overall would stay again and recommend to friends/family!
Very Good Hotel. Great staff especially front desk team who rrally aware with our need during our stay. Tasty fresh food. Wonderful place for 1 night rest. Good swimming pool. Room very nice and comfortable.
