Astor & Aparthotel

My boyfriend and I had a very good experience at Astor Aparthotel in Köln. The room had all the necessary, very clean, accessible price, parking available and perfectly located. The cherry on top was the lovely Ass. Hotelmanager Sonia, who treated us very nicely and always with a smile. We will surely come back next time we will visit Köln!

Stayed at this hotel a few months ago and was fine for the location and being inexpensive, however when leaving I forgot some expensive clothes that had I just purchased while visiting, as I contacted the hotel they seemed more than happy to return my clothes as long as I paid for shipping which was fine and is what I did. However after multiple emails and being told the manager was out they eventually stopped replying/ responding. Additionally I had my German girlfriend even contact the hotel in order to retrieve my items and the same happened saying they would call back then emails and then completely ignored. I understand it’s completely my fault that I forgot the clothes in the first place but having the customer service of saying they could be returned to me then ignored is not professional (I even include screenshots of our conversations via email and me purchasing the DHL package to have it shipped

The staff was the rudest hoteliers I've ever met. I asked before my stay to store luggage. When I arrived the receptionist was having breakfast and when I asked to store luggage, she told me to go down the stairs, which I did, only to end up in the messy employee room and the AC room. No luggage room, she meant to place my LUGGAGE UNATTENDED IN THE STAIRS and she would watch it, which was a lie because she was having bfast and not on her front desk anyway. Another customer walked in wanting to do the same and was also rude to her. I checked in much later so that she finishes her shift, a guy gave me the keys after asking my name, NO ID CHECKS WHATSOEVER. I go straight to the room and lock myself in as I was feeling unsafe by now. Bathroom trashcan was dirty, sink cracked, dust everywhere in bedroom, bedsheets stained. Absolutely disgusting. RUN AWAY from this place.
