Astra Inn

Probably the best restaurant we visited in Greece! Everything was flawless — from the view to the food to the vibe. The place is so inviting that we couldn’t resist stopping in, even though we hadn’t planned to. So glad we took the time to enjoy it all!

Astra is an international standards restaurant. Located in Papigo, (Zagori's flagship village) the restaurant enjoys a dramatic view towards the Tymphi mountains, and the property's private gardens. Having dinner in the outdoors is an experience, cause you never have enough of this view. As far as food is concerned, most of raw materials are based upon home production. Salads and main courses are well balanced and tasty. House wine is just excellent. Costas (owner) is in charge of the service and everything runs smoothly. It is always a pleasure dining at Astra. Can't wait to getting back

Stopped only for lunch. While waiting for our order, we wandered in this beautiful garden, when I came across this chained dog. He/she had some shadow and fresh water, but his chain was 2m long, he smelled awfully, there were flies all over him since his poop hasn't been picked up for weeks and there were hairballs all around him (no bath or grooming since forever). I caressed him for a few minutes, he was jumping of joy and it broke my heart having to leave him again in his solitude and filth. I asked the waiters, they said that the owners take him for a stroll, which is hard to believe. It is a very friendly beautiful dog and I can't see the reason of not letting it be free in this very big area. And keep him and his area clean. Food was good but I couldn't enjoy it. Dear owners, please take care of this dog and keep him company or give to someone who will.
