Astura Palace Hotel

Brilliant location on the front opposite the marina and beach .Many places to eat nearby and close to the old town bus service and train station for Rome . Great bed comfortable and lovely shower.Rooms have a fridge and plenty of wardrobe and draw space. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Some speak good English.There is a self service continental breakfast with lots of choices.

AC is not working or not working properly the next day. The bathroom is badly designed. Water splashed out of the tub /glass frame. There is not much room to sit on the toilet. They were able to accommodate 5 people in one room. There are 2 rooms inside a room. TV is only in Italian. However, there's a dedicated channel for tennis. Breakfast was good. Good view as we were right across the beach/marina.

Not a 4 star hotel, 2 at the most. The staff was wonderful and very friendly. They gave me a run around with the air conditioner not working in my room and showed me three other rooms. Finally a fourth room had a semi-working a/c. I know in Italy, and could see, they can control the temperature behind the front desk via a computer but they did not as I watched them play with the system. (They also didn’t know I could understand their Italian when they were speaking about it.) It was very hot in the afternoon and warmed up very quickly in the morning. The room was decent, the shower sprayed all over the bathroom and there was no ventilation in the bathroom making it even more hot and humid in the room. The walls are very thin as I could hear everyone out in the hallway, above me, and next to me. The floor tiles were cracked all over. The breakfast was very good, your basic Italian hotel offerings. If you’re staying to simply go to the beach and you’ll be out all day, then this is a good bargain. The location is perfect. If you want to enjoy the room and the stay and plan to be there more than 2 nights, I’d suggest looking somewhere else. They just need to spend some money doing a refresh of the hotel rooms and systems.
