at Marina Shores

We had a great stay at Marina Shores! Value for money was the main reason for booking, but we walked into a stunning apartment which was a pleasant surprise. The rooms were spacious and equipped with TVs in the lounge and bedrooms. A/C and ceiling fans were great and easy to use. The lounge room opened up to an outdoor area with plenty of seating options, including sun lounges. Lots of natural light throughout the whole place and beautifully furnished. Our apartment even came with washer and dryer and two packets complimentary laundry powder. There is a large communal pool in the complex with nice water temperature. Location is beautiful and it’s only a short walk to the Coral Bay Marina, which is where the Whitsunday day trips depart. Receptionist were very friendly upon check-in. I wouldn’t call it a 5-star hotel, as it seems to be more of an apartment complex with fully self-contained units. However, we had a very pleasant stay and were sad to leave after only a couple of days. We would definitely stay again.

At the quiet end of Airlie Marina Shores is perfectly located. The only disappointment was that my unit's kitchen was not equipped for self catering guests. A visit to a cheap shop for microwave pots fixed that.

Room very nice and spacious for four people. Good appliances and amenities. Only thing is aircon was not working properly and rubbish bin disposal is quite far away from room which is inconvenient. Also lights flickered in toilets and no locks on doors, and there was a window in the shower facing the living room which is quite odd and quirky.
