Its quiet and clean. AC is working fine. You can rent a motorbike here too. Call the owner and he will pick you up very quick from the pier.
At the Beach is located in walking distance from the small center but at the location you can rent a good bike for 300 baht a day which is the same price as at the pier and it will get you around the island to the several beaches. The staff is very kind, the rooms are adequately equipped but the bathroom one has to realize is treated by Thai people as a wet room so no curtain between shower and toilet. The beds are a bit hard to my taste, but that didn't stop us from staying a second day. At night you get an unavoidable concert from the dogs of Ko Lan. It just adds to the atmosphere and you can nap on the beach.
We booked 2 rooms and enjoyed our stay so much that we extended another night. The rooms are comfy and well-equipped even with a little sofa. Beds are have a comfortable mattress and the aircon works well. Bathrooms and all clean and functioning very well! The people are very friendly and helpful, reminding us for the free transfers to and from the pier. The courtyard is quiet and green with cute furniture to hang out and relax. Some rooms even had a small sea view that wasn't advertised! All in all, great value for money and we wished we could stay longer. Wifi worked well too!
