We had best stay ever! The customer service offered by Jae at front desk was superb we can’t say enough about Jae. He went above and beyond to make our stay one the best experiences ever. We enjoyed breakfast everyday on our 4 night stay😊. The shuttle (Capt. Tony)took us wherever we needed to go within 5 miles of the hotel for free. Captain Tony was very caring and attentive to our needs during our stay. Our first night we went to Aretha Franklin theatre and enjoy Fantasia concert. The next night we enjoyed our meal at fixing soul kitchen a new restaurant owned by Kevin Johnson a former NBA player with the Phoenix Sun! Excellent meal and shuttle dropped us off and picked us up !
Told staff I was checking out due to finding a bed bug on the covers and they apologized profusely. The manager Bobby told me to contact the morning manager for a refund because night audit needed to be ran first. When I called in the morning, I was told Wanda? was the shift manager and got transferred to her line. I was sent to a voicemail and my call was not returned. Twice. They are refusing to refund me due to the room “being used”. OF COURSE it was used. I was going to bed and found it. Had literally been there since 1:40 pm. Paid $60 early check in fee and paid for valet. I was also told by another guest she was leaving due to seeing one on the chair while she was sitting at her desk. So they know it’s an issue and are playing with people’s money. I’ll never stay here again and it’s such a shame because the hotel is actually beautiful inside despite this. I’m a local. I’ve never had an issue anywhere else. Absolutely gross.
I have stayed there several times but this time the room was aged. Tiles didn’t match in the bathroom, plywood on door was missing and the shower had a soap dish falling off the wall. While waiting in the lobby the security team asked my husband to leave because he had been there to long, they didn’t ask if he was a guest just told him he had to leave. Also for the first time there were mice and rats running through the shrubs in the front of the hotel. Not a good experience. I’m not sure what has changed our experience was less than satisfactory.
