Athenia Boutique Hotel & Spa

I can’t say enough good things about this amazing hotel - it’s a real hidden gem and excellent value for money. Just book it :) - lovely service. Every staff member is friendly and helpful. - food and drinks, including the fresh breakfast, are delicious and reasonably priced. - location is amazing. Walking distance to ‘hidden beach’ (a lovely small beach with better facilities and cheaper lounger hire than an bang beach). The hotel provides a free shuttle to the old town at multiple times in the day. There is a road in front of the hotel, but I’m a light sleeper and it really isn’t very busy or loud. - rooms are spacious and have every amenity. Lovely cotton sheets, plush towels, free drinking water each day, and are cleaned until spotless. The floors were sparkling each time housekeeping came in. - we used the spa and our massages were great. - the pool area is pretty and there is poolside food & drinks service. The only issue was some unattended children splashing us one day to the point we had to leave, but I can’t blame the hotel for the parents not being there while all of those children were diving and splashing. Otherwise it was always peaceful. We really didn’t want to leave this hotel. Just perfect.

We had a great stay at Athenia! The rooms were wonderful, location close to a few beaches and the service was excellent! They offer a free shuttle to and from the ancient town, have bikes available and were very helpful in arranging activities and day trips. We would love to come back and stay here again!

We stayed here for 6 nights. Our first room we didn't like because there was only a curtain for the bathroom door and the staff were very happy to change it for us and it was perfect. The pool is great they have an out door bar. The staff are very attentive and will help you with anything you need at any time. The location is also really great. It is a short bike ride from two beach spots and restaurant areas. We really enjoyed riding the bikes and so preferred this location because it meant we always had a fun lil ride to look forward to. The provide bicycles for free. I wish I had seen the tandom bike before we left as it would have made awesome photos. The housekeeping staff found my girlfriend's ring and returned it to us after we checked out. Obviously this was very very impressive and shows how good the staff are and we are very grateful. Hopefully see you all again one day
