The room was great! Clean, new, spacious, and comfortable. The shower was good too. Apart from that, the facilities were all extremely basic. There is no lobby or comfortable place to sit/wait. The elevator is tiny. The breakfast was very basic and felt a bit reserved, as if they count the number of olives they give you. There is nothing to write home about in that respect. Regarding the staff, it didn't feel like they were going out of their way to be hospitable or to give us a good feeling, though they did help out by letting us leave our luggage at the hotel, after we checked out. It should be said that the guard was extremely friendly! The neighbourhood, as many stated, is rough. You see many homeless junkies wandering around the area, day and night, though we didn't have any direct contact with them as they all minded their own business. We never felt threatened or in danger. However, our kids noticed used needles rolling around on the sidewalks, and we had to be very clear about not touching anything!! This is definitely *not* a 4-star hotel. 3 is more accurate. If you stay here, just make sure you know what to expect...

I recently stayed here. The room itself was quite pleasant—clean, comfortable, and well-appointed for the price. The food at the hotel was also impressive, offering a good variety of tasty dishes for breakfast. However, the neighbourhood surrounding the hotel left much to be desired. While the location is central and convenient for accessing many of Athens' key attractions, the area felt unsafe, especially after dark. We encountered several heavily drug-affected individuals and noticed used needles on the streets, which made the environment uncomfortable and unsuitable for families. Overall, the Hotel offers good accommodation and food, but the surrounding area significantly detracts from the overall experience.

I am sorry to have to rate two stars for this place. The room and service were nice but I had to check out without even staying a night (I booked three nights). It was because I had a child and an elderly with me and I wanted them to enjoy Athens by walking around the city. When we were in a taxi from the port, the taxi driver warned us not to go out at night time as the area (Omonia) is rough due to drug abuse and petty theft. The hotel itself is in a safe building with a security. I think it would be ok if you don’t mind being in a rough neighbourhood.
