Athinaion Recreation Suites

The apartments are very clean, spacious, modern and well-design, some even have a huge bathtub. I stayed in suite 1 and suite 3. Both the apartments had a spacious balcony overlooking the avenues with so much natural lighting and beautiful sunset, which i really love. The check-in is via phone call with the owner which is very fast and convenient. Location is good because there are many restaurants nearby which is walking distance. About 3 km to Acropolis/ Plaka, close to the National Archaeological museum. I would strongly recommend and definitely stay here again when i come back.

Rooms are very modern and the suite is very big and clean. Can’t fault any of this! One of the lights over the bath flickered. Balcony was large and great view over the city. Well stocked kitchen. However, if on the balcony the main road is busy and it’s still a 15-20 minute bus/taxi to central parts (eg Plaka/Acropolis/Zeus Statue etc)

We spent 1 night there and there are some areas to improve: 1) The sound proofing doesn’t work too well during the night so it’s a bit noisy with the traffic nearby (I think it’s a main road with quite many vehicles). 2) The bed sheet and towels had stains on it even though they were newly changed. Probably some persistent stains that were hard to wash off by laundry. It will be good if the cleaning staff can check this more carefully beforehand. 3) There is no reception which can be good and bad at the same time. One saves time for checking in and out. But on the other hand, it’s hard to get service during night. We couldn’t manage to get new towels and bed sheet in our case. Some good points: 1) The location is good. You can find subway, cafes, supermarkets, etc quite nearby (walking distance). 2) The room is new and modern. Equipments are in mint conditions. 3) There is a chat service via which you can get immediate responses from the host.
