Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway

Second time staying here within the last year. We stayed back in December for an nba game. The staff is great and professional. However, my most recent visit was for the cowboy Carter concert. The hotel wasn’t able to accommodate my early check in as a platinum elite member because there was a lot of events going on that weekend and one wasn’t ready. I understand that. after another friend landed and we grabbed breakfast down the street, we went back to the hotel and it was ready around 1pm. We were able to start preparing for the concert. When we got to the room, the bathroom sink was getting stopped up with water. Called the front desk at least 5 times and never got an answer. We flagged a housekeeper down in the hall and she was able to call maintenance. Maintenance came within 10 mins and unclogged the sink. That was awesome. I ordered food at the bar over the weekend and the bartender was amazing. He loved his job I could tell. I wish I could remember his name. He was very friendly and professional. We were able to get a late check out as well with my membership level. Ivedell one of the managers is great as well. I remember him from my last visit and he’s friendly and attentive. I never got an email after check out from Marriott or a manager to submit a survey. I usually get one. After 7 days of waiting for my stay to show up in the app, to include my points…it never updated. I called the hotel and Larry was very helpful. I ended up having to call Marriott bonvoy for assistance. In the mean time Larry updated my bonus points. Later on that day I called to speak to a manager (lady with an accent) and she was very helpful. She ended up giving me my additional bonus stay points which I was only tracking the 2500 but she said it should have been 5000. She even called me back to give me an update on my points issue but not sure why the stay never populated. I was frustrated about the whole situation especially since I’ve been Marriott girl for like 20 years and member since like 2010 lol. I still feel like all my points werent credited from Marriott. However I’m going to trust their system. The breakfast was amazing. I was able to use my breakfast voucher for free breakfast. I can’t wait to go back for the salmon and grits.

Everything about this hotel is great. The rooms are comfortable and modern, the location is close to the airport with a tram to take you to and from, and the service has been spectacular, especially Mohamed. He made what was a long day on a plane much better with his great customer service.

This hotel is lovely, excellent customer service. Everyone at the front desk is great. I was looking for a type of soda, they didn't have it. No worries. But Tassha found it, I dont know how??? But had it delivered yo my room. Thank you, will choose this hotel again@
